Martha Wright Griffiths (January 29, 1912 – April 22, 2003) was an American lawyer, judge, and politician who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1955 to 1974 and as Lieutenant Governor of Michigan from 1983 to 1991. William Lacy Clay (born April 30, 1931) is an American politician from Missouri. As Congressman from Missouri's first district, he represented portions of St. Louis in the U.S. House of Representatives for 32 years. Clay was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Luella S.
